Cascades

A cascade is how a single misalignment propagates through bridges. The pattern at one region becomes a pattern at the next.

The Hip-Rotation Cascade

Origin

Hip rotation pattern

  1. 1
    Hip Complex (right)
Hip internal rotation. Femoral head presents a small surface to the cup.
  2. 2
    Knee (right)
Knee falls into valgus to follow the femur. Cartilage loads asymmetrically.
  3. 3
    Foot-Ankle (right)
Tibial torsion runs to the ankle. Foot pronates. Plantar fascia loads unevenly.
Why it matters

When the knee crackles, the hip is often the upstream cause. Realigning the hip can quiet the knee in minutes — too fast for tissue change. What moved was the load.
